*laughs* Thanks. I must say, though, the design isn't mine - it's just a standard from the forum-supplier-whatnot. With luck, at some point I'll be able to make a layout that matches the site better, but for now... well, I'm glad you like it. :3Posted 1 year ago #

Didn't want to add another thread like DiFFicult0CURE said we appreciate all you've done~ x3
I'll be sure to post here more once I can think of something... xD;DiFFicult0CURE wrote:I really appreciate your work and your contribution to the manga community!

I feel the same way~ :3Posted 1 year ago # -
I feel the same way too, you don't know how happy it made me to find out a Final Fantasy XII manga was in the process of being translated!

By the way, I heard you're going to cosplay as Balthier! (yes...I stalk the front page a lot) I wish I could help with the rifle, but I'm at a loss when making cosplay weapons too. I'm sure there are sites around the internet for that kind of information though. But you must show us how your cosplay comes out! I'm cosplaying as Larsa but my convention is in the spring next year (I'm so impatient though). It's hard to find FFXII cosplayers, so when I see someone's going as one I get excited. XDPosted 1 year ago # -
Teehee... the key phrase in mine is "For all intents and purposes". :3 But yes, I shall post pictures.
As for the rifle, no worries! My con finally got its weapons policy up, so I can go the easy route - asking my dad to make it out of wood! Yay~ For a while it was looking like they wouldn't allow it, so that's why I was concerned.
Which reminds me, I should get on pestering him for that...
After all, the con's in a month AUUUGH SO MUCH TO DO.
For FFXII cosplays, I've seen a few in my time - not to the amount of FFVII or anything, but they're there. I remember one fantastic Judge who was made entirely out of cardboard. XD A couple good Frans, too.
And it's good to know someone reads my aimless rants.

Yays! I'm so happy you'll show us your cosplay! Maybe I'll post pics of my Larsa cos when my con comes around.
My con has a weird weapons policy; you have to get it peace-bonded to you if you go in the dealer's room. It's weird seeing people have their weapons tied to their bags. I was thinking of making Joyeuse (Larsa's sword) but I'm not sure how I'll accomplish that. I also have a Hope cos so I should make his boomerang somehow.
Yes, I have seen some good FFXII cosplays now that I think of it. There was this really good Balthier and Fran photoshoot on cosplay.com. But I have yet to see any in person.
Yepp, I do read your rants, lol! I rant a lot too, as I'm sure you've noticed, so I know how it is. I also love it when you started messing with a panel of the FFXII manga at the end of the credits. Those make me crack up, lol!

Hm... I've gotten weapons peace-bonded before, but in my case it's always meant just tying an orange ribbon about it - I'd assumed it meant "I promise not to hit anyone with it". Then again, I've always had to get them peace bonded at the con', not just the dealer's room.
And Joyeuse... that was a fencing saber, as I recall... Perhaps some sort of wire, surrounded by foam or some such? I dunno, I'm pretty useless with such things. *laughs* As I said, my dad's making mine. All I have left to worry about is painting it, the vest, and making the pants shiny. :3
And I mess with panels whenever I have something witty to say - it just isn't very often.

Really? I wish that was all they did for us. Peace-bonding in my con means tying it to your bag so you can't move it if you tried. XD
Yep, you recalled correctly! Hmm, that sounds like an interesting idea. lol, it's okay, I don't know much about that stuff but it sounds like it might work! ^^ That's cool, you don't have too much left to do in terms of making it.
I think you're very witty, your rants and those panels you do mess with always make me laugh!

Well, my con's very... inconsistant when it comes to...well, everything. *sighs* So there's no telling.
As for Joyeuse, the best thing I could recommend would be checking the cosplay.com forums. They're very helpful. And believe me - I still have tons to do - after all, that vest is COMPLEX. And the entire costume pretty much clinches on it. Augh, the more I think about it, the more I feel like I'm running out of time...
And thanks! That's always good to hear. ?Posted 1 year ago # -
I shall do so than, thank you recommending! Yep, that vest is pretty complex. How do you plan on doing that anyway? I'm sure you'll make it in time though! ^^Posted 1 year ago #

I had an artsy friend make a stencil, so I cut the design out of vinyl, painted it - it seems all of my cosplays involve painted vinyl, in retrospect - and now I just need to attach it. :3
And now that I'm (finally) done the pants, all that's left is the vest, so I'm feeling much more confident. But the date does seem to be sneaking up on me...Posted 1 year ago # -
I feel stupid for not being familiar with the terms (they sound familiar) but what is a stencil and vinyl? XD
That's good news, you're almost done! If all you have to do is attach it than you should finish before your con. =)Posted 1 year ago # -
A stencil is... well,it's like an outline. You trace it, and bam! Lines to cut upon. They're most commonly used for lettering and whatnot.
Vinyl's a fabric - it looks (somewhat) like leather, but not really. *laughs* It does the job admirably, though.
And I am on schedule, but they deadline keeps.... LOOMING...Posted 1 year ago # -
Ah, I see! Thank you for going through the trouble of explaining! ^^
That's a deadline's job, to loom on you and then smack you in the face when it's time. XDPosted 1 year ago #
